GESTURES

The world is held together by gestures: gestures of solidarity, cruelty, selfishness, kindness—our own or those of others.
Sometimes — but not always — they stick in our memory, returning again and again, hovering between pleasure and discomfort.

This exhibition presents explorations in image and word of gestures that are visible, deliberate, or barely perceived — where the intimate intertwines with the collective in the vast vessel of experience: the body.
