Ali Ardalan
Ali Ardalan’s artistic practice explores how dominant narratives are constructed and how these stories shape our perceptions of reality and influence our lives. Through his works, he delves into the phenomenology of memory and examines how storytelling can be a tool for political resistance. Ardalan earned his master’s degree from HDK-Valand and furthered his studies in the post-master’s course, Decolonizing Architecture, at the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm. His works are represented at the Göteborgs Konstmuseum and have been exhibited at Uppsala Konstmuseum, Göteborgs Konsthall, and Konstepidemin. His short film Arne Said I Was Gone was screened at the Tempo Festival, where it was nominated for Best Short Documentary. Additionally, his experimental film This Is Not a Line won The International Media Art Competition for art students at Turku UAS Arts Academy, Finland.
