Thomas Brennan & Maria Lundmark

Thomas Brennan and Maria Lundmark come together for a joint exhibition at Studio 44, bringing two distinct painterly practices into dialogue through colour, material and figuration.

Brennan’s paintings, collages and assemblages move between the intimate and the absurd. Images fragment; materials accumulate, collide and transform. The ordinary is displaced until it becomes something else: a body, a construction, a memory—or something difficult to name. During the opening, the three sections will be activated by three short performances, each connected to one of the cities. The performances last between four and ten minutes.

Lundmark works in oil and acrylic. Her art is a journey of discovery between reality and fantasy expressed through painting and collage. Randomness beyond control also shows the crooked, mysterious and unexpected.
