Christina Göthesson:
Forest made of Wood – is an ongoing project about existence, about identity and place. I reflect on the forest as a value for the living environment, as a space for recreation, and as vital for production in many societal functions. I think about the forest’s role in the climate and the future. I think about dense forests that create boundaries and shut out or enclose. I think about my ancestors who planted trees, cleared and thinned the woods, ensuring that the forest could grow and develop for the future. I think of the forest as a symbol of time and life.
In the exhibition, I will present two-dimensional works such as drawings, paintings, and graphic prints, as well as three-dimensional objects related to the forest and trees.
Christina Göthesson is a visual artist with an MFA from Konstfack, Stockholm (Art/Sculpture, 1992). I work experimentally with materiality, using various methods and techniques as expressions—both in two and three dimensions. I explore different paths for communication and stage processes that address questions of identity, place, and belonging. My own projects and various collaborations/exchanges are primarily shown at art institutions and artist-run platforms in Sweden and across Europe.
Carolina Hindsjö:
Själens födelse (The Birth of the Soul) – An exhibition with models of the soul’s birth. Small drawing installations that follow the process of a birth. The angels show the way. The blood-red wings bring the strength to harbor. Chickens, bulls, forget-me-nots, hearts, and butterfly-birds are all mixed in. There are storms, stillness, chaos, and calm. The soul arrives.
