For the past year artists, Geraldine Hudson and Per Åhlund have been exploring the human fascination of communicating with the dead.

Taking into consideration the popular 19th-century practice of seances, the discourse regarding the acceptance of death as an existential state, and the practice of death rituals throughout different time periods and cultures.
Using analog photography and sound recording as base material, this project has resulted in a piece to be presented in three parts.
The first part, manifesting as an installation, shall be unveiled on Friday 13th of January in the Project Room of Studio 44.

During the exhibition two ‘Death Salons’ are taking place. These are to be open discussion groups regarding the philosophical and emotional implications of death.
